Some fair points about Ashton. Injuries did take the best of him. His performance against Man City in the FA Cup quarter final and the first half v Liverpool (before he got taken off) showed glimpses. He was a big game player.
Regarding Tevez, I find it hard to put him in, simply based on the fact that we only really got the best of him for the last 12 games or so. May as well chuck Lingard in there.

When people talk up Dean Ashton it's more about what might have been. He was only 22 when we got him and those first few months he looked like he was going to develop into a top class player but he was nowhere near the same player after the injury.

Some no doubt will disagree, but Tevez was in a completely different league to Dean Ashton, no comparison whatsoever. A world class beast.

Looking at the teams people have picked just shows what great players we have had. I would go as far to say that whatever is our best ever 11 is would be a match for any equivalant clubs 11.
